Raptorous.net Version 3.0 is up!
Yup, I got tired of my page and decided to make a new one. As usual it took about a year for the old design to get boring. So, what's been new with me?
I just finished my first year of graduate school at CMU's ETC. It's been quite a year, and their program is so much more different than Cornell's. It's been a blast, and I've had lots of fun there. I've definitely learned a lot in my year there.
Over the summer, I've been working at IBM in Cambridge, MA in the Collaborative User Experience group. I've been working on virtual worlds for IBM, doing both programming and artwork. We just finished our big presentation, and it was not bad at all. Maybe I'm getting used to doing presentations, or maybe it helped that Mia was up there with me.
An updates to the page itself: Posted the last project from Technical Animation onto the works page. It's plasma pong! It's a fluid simulation that has a gaming component to it: Try to score on the other player's goal.
I've also included a download which will let you play the game. It's not a "game" but more of a demo right now, as it doesn't even have menus or instructions or anything...
So, now that I've created a blog-style website, I wonder what I'll do with it. Some ideas I've been kicking around are having an art blog where I can upload random sketches/artwork that I've been working on. I might post some graphics programming stuff too. I guess it depends on what I feel like doing in my free time. Let's hope it's not just sitting around...
